Dan wanted a strawberry pie for his birthday. I was too overwhelmed that week so I ordered one from Kneaders. We love Kneaders... especially their pies. However, this one was good, but wasn't our favorite that we have tried. It still got eaten though.
Abi was telling us how her mouth hurt right up there. I wish I could remember how she worded what she was describing. It made Dan and I laugh. Sadly, my memory is gone of the words. Thankfully the laughter memory remains. Something to be said about that...
Eliza is learning early what bows and glitter are. This is her normal spot while I get ready daily.
One of my friends (the talented artist who painted me and the older girls two years ago) had her baby blessed. The most gorgeous blue eyed, black haired baby ever! I sure love these two. Many long talks with her.
We enjoyed some afternoon in the park during the luncheon after the blessing.
I think all babies have baths in the kitchen sink. It is almost like a right of thiers. This one cracks us up with her love of water.
Loaded from the BYU Bookstore for graduation fun!
Speaking of loaded... I asked B to put a handful of fish on her tray. Only to find this...
Mima and Banka!!! How we love them- Don't mind my 7 year old in a foul mood! Starting already? Sigh. I'm in for it. I have to say that I am perfectly okay with a sad face in photos. It shows how family life really is.
My thoughts were "Hey, if you want to be on our wall all year with a sour face, go right ahead. That doesn't get you out of the photo. You may just not like it later."
I love this one and it may find it's place on my front table.
Check out the footrest...
Sometimes she is so cute when she finds cords in the house... Snap a photo and take it away quickly.
The fires from CA and UT were so bad that the air was SO hazy for over a week. It was so bad here you couldn't see anything after the lake. It felt like we were at the beach looking over the ocean.
Last day of summer required swimming on our part. It was Abi's request.
And we needed pre-school hair cuts-
And yet again, we have a Chris Farley look-a-like. These selfies showed up in my dropbox. I don't know when they happened.
We also had the last day of summer shave ice. GIANT!!!
No kidding, right after the above photo was this taken. I love the emotion. Just snap a photo and then deal with it. We'll laugh afterwards and we do now. It was almost the most disastrous outing we've had yet so many things happened. But we made it through and came home to prep for those first days of school.
PS - Shave ice with Haupia ice cream inside and sweetened condensed milk on top is to die for! Highly recommended.
Abi got a late b-day present in the mail last week.
"She looks just like me!" A girl and her doll.
Don't mind my swollen, makeup-less eyes. I had a rough day.
Brookie and Abi started music classes again. This was Brookie's first time. She is a Red Balloon this year. I can't believe she is big enough to do this! She handled it so differently than Abi did on Abi's first class. Brooklyn sat stone still and observed. She watched all the other kids, she didn't sing or move her hands like she does at home to the same songs, but she did participate when asked.
She talks about how big she is because she is a Red Balloon now. I can't wait to watch her progress this year.
Some flowers I did for a couple of events. Terrible photos, but I was just so tired.
They matched-
Wrestling time with dad is our favorite. Eliza loves to join in too. She is such a spunk.
I crafted late into the night for a friend's baby gifts.
What should she choose - the chocolate or the milk-
And finally, what's in my bag at any given time. We could play I spy. As funny as this is, it wasn't a good circumstance that made me take it all out. My lipstain cracked and bled all over my beloved PPB diaper bag. Now my bag is a nice tie dyed red and white. But I couldn't believe what I was carrying around!
Everything from sunscreen to Hi-Chews to glasses to face powder to tampons to 9 pens and 8 lip products. Mints to Mini M&M's to newborn socks to two extra binkies!!! I thought for sure I would be able to get rid of so much, but I didn't as I went through it. Must be the prepared mom in me. Crazy-
