and right before our eyes!
she insisted in posing with her arms folded!
updates, updates, updates! let’s see where to begin
dan’s grandma is passing away. we ache for his family, but it is time for grandma johnson. we had a family dinner a couple of weeks ago, that was so wonderful and it was really a memory i will hold dear.
cam and dan giving abi whisker pies… although cam had nothing to offer. abi loves cam (she calls him “dam”). she thinks he is completely awesome… which we do too.
then came NATIONALS!!! what Matt and i have been working towards for eight months! my girlfriend jessica took the photo below. she did an amazing job. abi came with dan one day and now in her prayers she says “father. thank you. mama dancing. lights. amen.” this can be interpreted as “mom dancing under the lights.” abi is obsessed with me dancing now and always asks me when i am getting ready for school if i will be dancing under the lights. it makes me feel so special.
i played around with my makeup for the competition. this one was my favorite and i got a lot of compliments on it.
next comes abi like usual! oh i just love her. she is so intelligent and it speaking in sentences now. her biggest sentence was 5 words long, “i love you too mama.” i love having that claim right now.
i have been waiting to put these shoes on my little girl since i was about 13 years old. these tinkerbell shoes sat on my windowseal during my high school days. i really can’t believe that ten years has passed and here she is wearing them. she is cuter than i ever imagined.
then there is her love of her stroller. this was the first day we took it outside to check the mail. she makes me take it up and down the stairs whenever we go up or down. i am almost to a point where i grab it automatically without her asking, “stoller peas.”
she has been having a hard time going to sleep at nights. she keeps coming out of her room. it hasn’t been fun. so the other night i just had her come to bed with me. surprisingly she fell asleep and so did i! for those who know abi, this was a first! dan said he took the picture and neither of us budged!
i took this picture because i think there is a picture of me at the same age doing the same thing. abi loves this cupboard. she takes her flashlight in it and closes the door. it keeps her busy while i do the dishes and make dinner.
abi came out at 5 am yesterday morning from her bedroom. this was our first early morning experience. she just came out to give me the bow that i had accidently left in her hair that night. then she went back to bed.
i was taking a nap the other day on the couch and i woke up to abi with the nose sucker telling me to “hold till” so she could clean out my boogers. what a goof! i told her she could clean the baby’s nose instead to which she did.
and last but not least… for those who have read clear down this entry (more like journaling for my sake than yours)…
these next few weeks are going to consist of:
we love going to ball games here at BYU. Abi is really taking to liking Cosmo… at a distance. he was walking down our isle and he stopped and turned around to look at abi. she started screaming when he looked at her. she is terrified of him unless he is down on the court. then she is all about watching and keeping him in check. such a doll!
