confessions–two more things not to mix

this story isn’t mine. I won’t name names… due to the embarrass”mint” they may feel (oh and they felt it good)

as said person was showering the other week in the girls’ bathroom, said person noticed that there was no shampoo. we were fixing our shower. so said person used “refresh” dandruff shampoo to wash their hair. what a nice, tingly, minty, refreshing shampoo.

then said person realized there wasn’t body soap, so said person used minty, refreshing shampoo to wash body. said person felt the burn in lower facility a little too much.

And I laughed as I am laughing now.

Please keep our secret!

confessions- two that don’t go well together

I just love motherhood *cough*

Brookie spilled out of her diaper last night. This morning Dan took care of her.

I went down this afternoon to put Brookie to a nap. Noticed the blankets were also spilled on, sighed and took them upstairs. I just took off the sheets from my bed to wash so I threw them all in the wash together. The first item that didn’t go well is the washer…

the second item, well let’s just say as I was pulling out my bedding to put in the dryer I thought maybe a kleenex had gotten washed which was a nuisance but deal-able.  Oh no, it wasn’t fuzzies… I leaned into the washer next and pulled out the remains of a washed diaper. Joyous.

those little gel balls were EVERYWHERE! I did as much as I could to get them out of the laundry – washer – and dryer , but I sure hope that they don’t ruin my sheets.

Now, the real questions is – was that a clean diaper or a spilled diaper?

everlast

so I saw a woman today who was at least 300lbs wearing a hoodie… the hoodie had an Everlast logo on it. These were my thoughts-

  1. does this woman even know what everlast makes?
  2. um, why then is she wearing this hoodie?
  3. why the crap (yes, my words) does everlast make a hoodie that big?

hmm… just sayin’

temple square

I wanted to take the girls to temple square and found a great day to go. we spent the morning going through the visitors’ centers and then met up with a close friend and her kids for the hands on book of mormon exhibit in the church history museum. we loved it and I loved having a friend to do something with like this.

I think that the most special part of the day for me was when we went from temple square on to the temple grounds. It was like I walked into a different room. I was really overwhelmed and I had that burning testimony that this is where I needed to be and this was a sacred place.

Abi and Marin got along pretty well. I was pleased. It took them a while to warm up. When they were in a place that didn’t have toys they both wanted they played well together. They are just a month apart. I know marin’s mom Samantha from New York. We met out there when we were both pregnant with these girls. Then we were blogger friends for the past three years and now they live in Salt Lake and it is wonderful to finally keep in touch without the major distance. IMG_4039IMG_4040

my friend gave me a whole bunch of baby food. I thought it would be like two bags full… but this is what we ended up with. I organized it all and took inventory and when abi came in the room she told me that I looked like I was building the temple that we got married in… the Salt Lake Temple. I thought it was pretty observant of her. I felt so blessed by this gift of food. It is enough that I will never have to purchase any again. Thanks Samantha for thinking of us. IMG_4045

and to top our day off, abi went to a princess birthday party for her new friend Avery. They had a tea party, made necklaces, face painted and ate cake. This is abi on her way out. IMG_4047
