happy thanksgiving

Here are some great sites from thanksgiving… and then some things we are thankful for-

First, we have a tradition that we do a murder mystery dinner with Dan’s family during the holidays. This year we were gods and goddesses. It just so happened that I was the murder and no one guessed that I was.

Ready to go shopping! Isn’t she stylin’? She insisted on wearing a tutu (what’s new) but her Princess boots matched so they had to be worn too. She got lots of compliments :) I just think she is so sweet here…

Going to get married

IMG_4770

At the BYU game – she “stamped” our hands with the bottom of the Pez dispenser and then proceeded to go to the game. We found her “in the stands” with “Baby Suzie” cheering for Cosmo. It was SO funny!

more conversations

Abi is really into thinking that she needs to be married. I don’t understand her understanding of what marriage is to her, because it isn’t really complete. For example, today.

Abi got on a tutu and said, “Now I am married to the temple!”

I laughed and replied, “Well, sort of sweetie. We get married in the temple.”

She went and put on her “crowned” and came back and said, “Look mom, I got married to the temple.” Over and over again.

I wasn’t replying because I didn’t really know how or if it was important to correct her that marriage to the temple isn’t just about getting dressed up. Every conversation that we have had about marriage has been about mom and dad getting married and that is what wedding rings represent. But, I have never talked about a pretty dress. I would more assume that she would equate pretty dresses with Ballroom dancing.

Anyway, so I decided to introduce princes into marriage. I said, “Abi, in order for you to get married you need to find the right prince.” Then I just left it at that.

So about 10 minutes later I hear her say, “I need to go find my foot prints so I can get married.” Oh the joys-
