abi and dance

all that my life consists of right now… i have had two other competitions and again, placed first in events and fourth in another. my partner and i are doing very well and it feels good.

abi has learned how to put on her boots and wears them non-stop through the house. it is so cute!

I can’t believe this apron made it all the way to abi… she wore it this whole day with her necklace might i add.

on top of competing, we have performances for the ballroom team. this was last week’s.

our newest accomplishment that outperforms even my greatest dancing is that we did away with the binky!!! Yeah for us! Oh, it was the hardest thing ever! thankfully we have good friends who helped us out the first night because i couldn’t do it. they took abi because i had some ballroom comps and dan was on a scouting trip. so they took her and didn’t give her a binky to go to bed which produced a good night’s sleep at their house. at ours’, it was a different story for this past week! this is when we left abi in her room without a binky for a nap. needless to say, she sleeps in her pack and play for the naps now. nights are fine because she can’t see anything. :)

and she loves to shove things down her shirt. this happened to be play fruit night.

 

today at lunch abi decided she wanted to eat before praying. this is not like her at all. she usually reminds us before we can sit down. anyway, dan asked her, “abi, what do we do first?” she looked at him and said, “eat!” oh what a smartie! she totally caught us off guard!

our weekend...

our weekend consisted of a valentine’s dinner at our place with friends. we had the meiner’s with their two kids over, and my cousin nate and his girlfriend lauren over. we ate and played a valentine’s game. success!

our saturday was eventful with the nickelcade… abi was scared of the truck that moved at first, but by the time we were done playing games, she was begging and searching for nickels to “move” the truck as she would say. she was so much fun.

 

 

daddy also won her a lion which she roars in everyone’s face.

 

 

 

then i had a ballroom performance up in midvale. i felt so glamorous in these costumes. i am sure falling in love with these girls. we have become such great friends and they are all so much fun to be around.

 

 

to top off our weekend, we had a wonderful v-day that was really chill! THEN, ABI WENT TO NURSERY for the FIRST TIME! She just walked right in and didn’t even say bye. we were on could nine being by ourselves! i didn’t know what to do with  myself in RS. she was wonderful and made such a cute v-day card for us.

happenings

i competed in the utah dancesport championship this past weekend and my partner matt and i took second place!!! here we are with my friends tim and courtney who took first. sorry about the photo… my camera is having issues!

this past week abi decided that she needed grover in her coat facing her as we ran errands. i just thought these photos of her were to cute

 

abi has been sick this weekend. sadly, i have loved almost every minute of it… extra naps, and a cuddly child!!! she NEVER cuddles, so it was such a gift from her to cuddle the whole two hours at the byu gymnastics meet this past weekend.

 

I also just realized that most of you haven’t seen my new do. i shall get some better photos up sometime. i already love the coloring. i couldn’t afford the upkeep to keep it blond. since having abi my hair has gone to this shade of brown. it was a drastic change, but it fits me really well.
