Night Crawler

As of this past Tuesday...

Even just a couple of days later, she has this down! So far, I think that she loves to crawl around in the kitchen while I am cooking the most. We are excited that she learned this so soon (at 7mo almost exactly) but that means that walking is going to some quickly too! It has been so rewarding to watch her grasp how to crawl...

Temple Square...

Abi and I ventured up to Temple Square this past Saturday. We met up with some friends from our ward there. Eric works in the gardens and since I am working on some landscape designs he gave me a tour of how they work the beautiful gardens on the square. I learned a lot of great techniques that I can't wait to put into my designs and also enjoyed my time with Eric and his wife and cute baby boy. To add to our beautiful, sunny day, our best friends the Merrills came up with thier kids and we played by the reflection pool for a while. Mary Ann and I enjoyed the HUGE amount of brides and Ryder enjoyed Abi...

There were just too many photos that I couldn't just post a few... Enjoy!

Baby Cakes!!!

For my birthday (not until April) Dan enrolled me in a cake decorating class... here are some of the results...

I just love this shot... I have never made such perfect cupcakes!

I acutally made the "Life is good" cake for my dad. It is his birthday this week and he just happened to be in town today... (pictures posted later!) It was a lemon cake with lemon filling and lemon-lime icing. So good!

This cake turned out WAY better than I thought it would. I am not a fan of roses on cakes, but I thought this was cute and fresh. It is only a 6" cake so it is tiny and I think that is one reason I liked the result...
I am almost really tired of the smell of cakes and icing in my house! I can now hardly eat or lick anything after I make it because I have made so many cakes! I guess it has been a really good thing. Yesterday, I spent 6 hours in my kitchen baking 7 cakes and decorating my dad's. Talk about crazy, but I LOVE it!

So... if you need or want a cake done, I am up for the challenge! I have a cool birthday cake to do this weekend and I hope that my ideas turn out well!

Where is my time going?!?!?! We are so busy right now... I have definitely had to make choices between a lot of good events and it has been hard. I am so behind on emails and phone calls... and pray that you all can understand... it MUST be getting warmer because our schedules are getting packed!
Mima (Grandma) Thun was in town this past week and played hard with Abi and me. We loved having her here and can't wait to do it again in a couple of weeks... I know, we are so spoiled!

I just love this photo of Abi because she was playing so well by herself and gave us some time to get ready in the morning!

I always want to write these wonderful, insightful, eloquent blog posts that everyone will just read and be amazed and uplifted with. Tonight I had big plans to do one. However, after the nightly marathon of putting Abi to bed, cleaning up from the day, and being a good, supportive wife (most important to me), I have no more energy to do what I had planned! After so many attempts to sit down and write one of the ever-amazing blog posts I dream of, one becomes discouraged about blogging all together. And tonight is one of those nights.

I have to give myself a little credit that I hold my time dearly due to the fact that I am doing an insane power through of 15 credits of BYU online courses in 10 weeks. Although, there are more women who do more than I do in a day and power out some of the most creative, fun blogs I have seen to date! I yearn to be one of them! However, I am reminded of the scripture that states, "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under Heaven." It isn't my time or season and maybe someday... someday I will write that yet-to-amaze blog post. But for now, know that I am putting what is most important in my life first.

Until tomorrow...

Sitting

She's sitting on her own!

Don't mind the crazy hair!

Calling

I've been hooked in church!!! I am so excited for this...

If you have any ideas, please let me know! I know that a lot of my aunts have had this calling before as well so please give me some ideas!

Abi and Scrabble

This is a photo of Abi playing Scrabble with us last night. We were laughing so hard at this perfect shot. One sock on, pink toe nails, holding the Scrabble stick, drool all over, chub, and her blanket reminded us of the Japanese Kimonos. Too funny! ( I won Dan 326 to 255 by the way)

She is such a GOOF! Check out her silly face and intense drool!

Aib is such a big help! Right after this photo, she hurled bananas all over my clean clothes!
Her favorite thing as of late?... My measuring spoons. I can keep her occupied for over an hour with one of them!
