I have my own kitchen aid... she mixes and messes things up pretty well :)

Tonight I let Abi unload the dishwasher... or she let herself. I helped her by taking out the utensil container and putting it on the floor away from my traffic pattern and she readily helped me unload. Although they ended up all over the floor, she was still a wonderful help. My favorite part of her helping me tonight is that she washed each utensil so carefully for a second time... aka, tasting each one as she pulled them out. :) I just smiled later, picked them up with a quick rinse underneath the faucet and placed them in the drawer.
Maybe you don't want to come over now huh? :)
Some of Abi's new developments:
- unloading the kitchen drawers and then climbing them one by one like stairs
- signing: all done, water, hot, food, more, ball, bird, water, sleep, dad (so cute) and our newest one last night... thank you. I think we are on a roll with signing, but that still hasn't stopped the tantrums
- abi also got a new carseat today... big girl!
- this past week abi has started to fold her arms when we say prayers now. It has been fun praying with her and amen is so cute too. Today she really put me in my place when I looked over while sitting down for lunch and her arms were already folded. Smartie!!!
- Abi LUVS dogs... about as much as birds, duckies, and Libby
- Abi loves to bounce on the bed. She goes nuts!
- the only times she sits still is when she is reading books (good sign to me... that she likes books at least)
- while about my daily tasks I tend to sing or hum songs and I noticed lately that Abi will start humming and singing along with me. that makes me feel SO good!
- When ever she hears sounds outside from people she signs Dad thinking that he is coming home (she also says "Dada" in relation to him)
- Abi knows who Jesus is. She loves looking at his picture and points to him when I ask her where he is.
- abi feels that she has to take anything out of her mouth (once I feed her) and make sure that it is okay to eat... then she usually puts is right back in. But this development also has allowed for food to end up all over from head to toes... luckily she likes baths on one side of the sink while I do dishes in the other (photos to come soon!)
- Abi also knows how to call Dan on my phone. She unlocks it, speed dials his number, and holds the phone up to her ear. I have others on my speed dial, but she just wants to talk to Dan.
- And last for tonight... Abi LOVES to share. She tends to share her binky with me the most and food comes in a close second. But I am so grateful that she knows how to be thoughtful to others. She also shares her binky with her new fav toy... her baby doll.
Abi has sure shown me what it means to be like a child... she keeps me young!

I want a kitchen aid like that! What a cutie! And so smart!
She's getting quite the personality!
She is so adorable Claire! You guys really made a cute kid. Congrats!
You should try giving her cotton candy. Bet that would be a surprise when it doesn't come back out!
Hahaha- maybe I should tell Eric before he comes over again to visit who's been "cleaning" the dishes. ;) LOL! Thanks so much for taking such good care of him while we've been gone!
