we spent our Christmas eve sharing with friends who we believe are our girls’ extra grandparents – Sophia and Randy (who live across the street from my parents) and Lori (who is my mom’s bestie). These three don’t have grandkids so we give them our girls. We had wonderful conversation, and as we all knew, the gospel was brought up in discussion… Randy and Sophia aren’t members but are so intelligent that discussion not only is rich and full of insight, it keeps us on our toes. Part of it included our favorite parables from Christ’s teachings and the fact that the wise men weren’t present the night of Christ’s birth.
Remember those sucker rings Erik won? Here they show up while the girls chilled in the manger while we all talked.
We then had a wonderful nativity acting. Very simple but so powerful. I was grateful for all the participation since I was in charge and that Randy and Sophia stayed.

But Mary wanted to dress to the nines-
The angel… how true is that role. She is my angel.

After the girls were asleep and everything was cleaned up, Santa put his elves to work placing presents under the tree while he took a nap.
